Gain your Certificate III in Parks & Gardens – 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year candidates are encouraged to apply.
- You will be working full-time 38 hours per week.
- You will work with a qualified Gardener who will give you in-depth knowledge and guidance to help you become trade qualified within 3 years
Where is this apprenticeship position located?
- Nirimba
With the support of qualified tradespeople, you will be:
- Installing and maintaining plant displays
- Cultivating turf
- Installing irrigation and drainage
- Controlling weeds, pests and diseases
- Performing operational maintenance of machinery
- Providing information on plants, products and treatments
- Any other tasks requested by the host employer
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Must have interest and commitment to work in Construction
- Must hold a White Card or able to obtain ASAP
- Hold (or close to obtaining) a current Drivers License and have own reliable transport
- Participation in a Pre-Apprenticeship course or Certificate I or II Horticulture or similar course is advantageous
- Work Experience within the industry is highly desirable
- Must be physically fit & able to work outdoors
- Be reliable, resilient, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to take direction
