About Us

Air Link Engineering is part of the Aviation Logistics Group, one of Australia’s largest general aviation and regional airline groups offering scheduled passenger services, charter flights, freight and critical aeromedical flights via its three associated companies – Air Link, Airmed and Chartair. The group operates a fleet of 70 aircraft and employs a team of almost 300 professionals across seven bases in Melbourne (Essendon Airport), Sydney (Bankstown Airport), Dubbo, Brisbane (Archerfield Airport), Alice Springs, Katherine and Darwin. The group also operates four aircraft maintenance facilities providing both inhouse and customer aircraft maintenance programs and traces its foundations back to 1974.

About the Role 

The Engineering Manager (CASA Part 145 Responsible Manager) is located in Bankstown and reports directly to the CEO. This role is responsible for ensuring Air Link Engineering's maintenance services in Dubbo and Bankstown complies with CASR, Part 145 MOE, CAR, and the Maintenance Organisation Approval Certificates.

The Engineering Manager is responsible for the overall management of the maintenance services provide by Air Link Engineering. These duties include:

• hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through 
• actively support and promote the Company’s Safety Management System
• familiar with the MOE and Procedures manuals, including Duties and Responsibilities as detailed in the AMOE.
• provide leadership for all Part 145 engineering and support staff.
• maintain an understanding of this MOE, relevant CASR and CAR and Part 145 MOS
• ensure the availability of all necessary resources including manpower, facilities, equipment and Maintenance Data for the scope of Maintenance Services approved.
• support and promote the SMS and ensure compliance with Human Factors (HF) principles and Just Culture.
• support and promote monitoring standards and work accomplishment through audits to ensure timely feedback of findings are received.
• ensure Maintenance Services are performed, recorded and certified in accordance with and to the standard of this MOE, CASR, Part 145 MOS and responsible CAMO requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to satisfy CASA as an approved Part 145 Responsible Manager and 
• Hold an aircraft maintenance engineer qualification (or related allied trade) and
• At least 5 years experience in matters for which they are responsible; or 
• At least 2 years experience in matters for which they are responsible provided they have at least an additional 3 years experience in civil aircraft maintenance.
