Job description

Juniors at Wamberal has a permanent, part-time position for enthusiastic and team orientated ECT to work 3 Days per week. 

The positions requires people who are genuinely passionate and motivated about making a positive difference in the lives of our children, families and colleagues.

We are a small, family owned service. We are passionate about providing quality education and care to all children attending our service. 

We operate 51 weeks of the year close over the Christmas/New Year period and Public Holidays. Our business hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

At Juniors, we require a team player, someone who is reliable, dedicated to best practice, a great communicator and people who are passionate about the early years.

About the roles - 

  • Work with teams of dedicated professionals who are always working in the best interests of children 
  • Contribute to shared planning and programming for all children
  • Work with children aged from birth to school age
  • You must be available to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 7am and 6pm 
  • ECT applicants with a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), and actively working towards their degree are welcome to apply

The successful applicants will have - 

  • A genuine passion and drive in providing children with the best possible start in life
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Experience in an Early Childhood service and a sound understanding of the EYLF and NQF
  • Current Working with Children number, First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, Child Protection and Safe Food Handling training
  • Completed or actively working towards their qualification/degree
  • ECT position requires Teacher Accreditation through NESA
  • An ACECQA approved Diploma qualification (early childhood) if currently studying towards Degree
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with digital programming platforms and general computer skills
