Part Time Ophthalmic Technician for Private Ophthalmology Practice - No previous experience necessary
Required hours will be approx. 40- 48 hours per fortnight with additional hours now and then to cover leave periods.
You must provide a cover letter with your application to be considered for the roleOur busy ophthalmology practice is in Mundingburra, Townsville. This position will suit a motivated technician who will work directly with patients and our small team. Ophthalmology experience is not a pre-requisite.
High importance will be given to critical thinking, above average communication skills and operational abilities. The appropriate candidate will be required to master a number of testing & diagnostic machines in order to successfully carry out the role. The successful candidate must be comfortable with technology and have a reasonable skill level of computer literacy and familiarity.
At times additional hours may be needed to cover holidays / sick leave. Some flexibility would be desirable.

- Carry out visual assessment and testing prior to consultation with the doctor
- Successfully master specific testing and diagnostic equipment as required
- Carry out all associated administrative duties of the role.
