Part-time Philanthropy Lead22.8 hours per week

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven experience in event planning and project management
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of typical major donor communications, including proposals, reports, and event collateral.
  • Knowledge of best practice major gift fundraising methodology (desirable)
  • Computer literacy (including MS Office including Excell, Canva, Mailchimp, Eventbrite)
  • Experience working with external stakeholders such as graphic designers, printers, event venues etc. 
  • Experience working with donor / customer databases (desirable)
  • A positive, collaborative, team-oriented can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and customer service focused approach to work 
  • Demonstrated high level of administrative skills.
  • Commitment to City Mission’s Mission and Values
  • National Police Check is required for all roles at City Mission
  • WWVP is required for all leadership team member roles and all client services staff.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience or demonstrated capacity to work in an organisation adopting a Christian ethos.
  • Experience/knowledge of Fundraising and Marketing / CRM databases.

The Philanthropy Lead is responsible for the implementation of City Mission’s Major Gift and Gift in Wills programs. The position will lead acquisition, engagement, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgement, and stewardship of key donors and prospects to maximise giving and retention levels. The position will also be responsible for building and sustaining ongoing pipelines and a portfolio of major donors, connecting them with City Mission, inspiring them to give generously towards impactful major projects and appeals. This role will contribute to a diverse range of City Mission projects, programs and services and the Fundraising and Philanthropy team’s income goals by developing working relationships with key internal stakeholders including management, peers, and other functional areas across the organisation.

This is a part-time position. As a Public Benevolent Institution, LCM employees are eligible to Salary Package through our approved provider.
