Partnerships Lead (Growth and Innovation)

Independent Living Assessment (iLA) is for-purpose national organisation based in Perth with a focus on empowering people to increase their knowledge and take steps towards maintaining their independence at home and in their community.  Operating across the broader community sector, iLA currently delivers Regional Assessment Service, National Village Hubs Grants Program, and a range of digital-first initiatives including LiveUp, KeepAble Sector Support & Development, and AT Chat navigation and peer mentoring programs. 

The Role 

iLA are seeking a Partnerships Lead to join our Growth and Innovation team. You will be responsible for collaborating closely with iLA teams to identify, establish, and oversee mutually beneficial partnerships. Responsibilities also include linking partners with relevant teams to advance partnership initiatives and enhancing internal processes related to stakeholder relations.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships and business development opportunities that align with iLA’s values and strategic objectives. 
  • Define and develop new growth opportunities across diverse revenue streams. Generate and nurture leads, fostering business-to-business relationships that align with the iLA's strategic and business plan
  • Build and sustain key stakeholder relations and partnerships with external stakeholders to support the delivery of iLA’s Strategic Plan.
  • Build and sustain strategic relations and partnerships with external stakeholders
  • Develop and implement iLA’s Partnership Engagement Plan
  • Oversee and manage the negotiation, creation, and implementation of all strategic partnership contracts, agreements, and related documentation. 
  • Network and engage broadly across the sector to identify mutually beneficial partnership opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and alignment with iLA project objectives

About You 

The successful candidate will have experience establishing, developing and maintaining partnerships that support organisational growth, adopt a community-building growth mindset and have excellent relationship management skills. In particular, the Partnerships Lead will:

  • Demonstrated working experience of at least 3-4 years in developing and managing successful partnerships, contracts and agreements, particularly with government and vendors
  • Sound leadership experience with ability to achieve business outcomes within defined timeframes and budgets. 
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to forge effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Highly developed skills in stakeholder relations, partnerships and management 
  • Well-developed knowledge and skills in contract management
  • Highly effective in networking, relationship building and negotiation skills  
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with information technology, client data base, and office suite applications. 
  • Ability to manage a diverse portfolio, prioritise and meet deadlines, sometimes working with incomplete information or managing conflicting issues in a professional manner
