About the role 

We are seeking a Full-Time Passive FirePenetration Specialist who ideally has experience or experience within a similar role.

In this role you will work both independently and within a small team across the duration of the project.   You’ll have a great eye for detail to ensure your work is consistent to meet clients and building codes needs. 

This position is an EBA role offering full EBA rates, allowances and site allowances with onsite learning and training to develop your career in the Passive Fire Industry.  The ideal candidates will have construction experience, be highly safety conscious and a self-starter.  

Our Head Office is based in Geelong with the role and works being located in Melbourne, VIC.

The primary duties will include: 

• • Conduct thorough assessments of buildings to identify potential fire penetration risks.
  • Design and implement effective fire penetration systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Install, test, and maintain fire penetration solutions, including fire-rated walls, floors, and other structural elements.
  • Collaborate with project teams, architects, and engineers to integrate fire penetration measures seamlessly into building designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to fire penetration systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to other team members on fire penetration best practices.
  Qualifications:
• • Proven experience as a Fire Penetration Specialist or qualifications in carpentry or trade highly desirable. 
  • In-depth knowledge of fire codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of fire-rated construction materials and their applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications and licenses are highly desirable.

  Other duties may include: 

• Supporting other PROFINISH teams for various Passive Fire installations such as Speedpanel, fire rated board and fire stopping penetrations.

Essential Requirements: 

• White Card 
• EWP Ticket
• Scissor Lift ticket 
• Current Working with Children's Check 
• Experience working on Union sites
• Proficient with a range of power tools  

Desirable: 

• Boom lift ticket 
• Experience in the Passive Fire field 
• Trade background: eg carpentry
• Current Police Check
• Working with Children Check
