Pastoral Care Leader (Acting)

St Peter's College is a Catholic Co-educational Secondary College in Melbourne's south-east region that has a proud history of fostering the educational and spiritual development of its students. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the Acting Position of Leadership of Pastoral Care Leader. This POL attracts a Level 4 allowance ($12,636) is available for 12 months from July 2024 and is attached to an ongoing Teacher position. The ability to teach VCE Health and Human Development would be highly regarded.

We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about teaching and have the ability to provide an engaging program to the students using contemporary teaching methods.

Our ideal candidate:

• Will have experience in a similar role and has the ability to lead excellence in student wellbeing, student behaviour management and Pastoral Care.
• Has excellent management and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments, including managing challenging student behaviours and meeting a variety of social and emotional needs of our young people.
• Is a highly experienced and effective classroom teacher of secondary school students.
• Has excellent communication skills.
• Is competent in digital technologies. 

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children and will hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.
