Job Description:
We are looking for a Full-time skilled Pastrycook who are passionate about creating delicious, visually appealing dishes that delight our customers. The ideal candidates will have a strong culinary background, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This is a Full-Time job opportunity with standard working hours (38 hours/week). Candidates with flexibility who can work overtime (with OT pay) are preferrable.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake pastry according to recipes or customer specifications.
- Execute all baking techniques with precision and consistency.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all baked goods, paying close attention to detail.
- Contribute to the development of new pastry recipes and menu items
- Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed to maintain adequate stock.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum relevant Certificate 3 or Certificate 4 qualification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pastrycook in a professional kitchen environment.
- Extensive knowledge of food handling procedures and pastry-making methods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
