We have two exciting leadership opportunities for experienced and motivated Head Bakers/ Head Pastrycooks to join our team. We are seeking:
- A Savoury Team Leader: Averaging 40 hours per week. Sundays and Tuesdays off. Between 7am and 4pm - $80,000 + Super
- A Cake and Bread Team Leader: 42 hours per week, between 9am – 11pm. Some weekends required - $90,000 + Super.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the complete operation of your department and ensuring the highest standard of product quality and presentation. Reporting to the Bakery Operations Manager your key responsibilities include:
- Training, developing and managing your baking team (8+)
- Managing the labour efficiency of your department
- Forecasting production numbers using established systems/processes
- Troubleshooting production issues
- Ensuring consistently high standards of quality
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements
- Innovative and creative product development
About You
- Relevant qualification
- Motivated leader with 4+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced Bakery
- Great organisational ability, skilled at meeting deadlines and keeping daily operations on track
- Demonstrated experience in achieving wastage & production targets and wage budgets
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required
- Desirable: Experience with continuous improvement principals
