Wholegreen Bakery is an award winning artisan gluten-free bakery in Alexandria with a Cafe in the CBD and Waverley. Our very busy HACCP certified bakery trades 7 days a week for take away, online orders, deliveries, catering, wholesale and more. Accredited by Coeliac Australia, our range of innovative premium sweet and savoury products are hand-made with fresh seasonal ingredients. With an immediate start, we are looking for a dough production team member to join our pastry department.
Requirements & experience- Seeking an energetic team member with at least 1 year experience working in a Bakery or Production kitchen in the pastry / savoury area.
- Familiar with making various doughs including shortcrust, croissant, puff and choux pastries. The role will incluse assembling pies, quiches, sausage rolls and pasties.
- Safely and efficiently operate all bakery equipment to maximise efficiency and quality of product. Our high volume production kitchen requires someone with attention to detail and be able to be consistent with the quantities they are making.
- Work rights for Australia required to allow you to work 38 hours per week unrestricted. We are not able to offer Sponsorship and the role is not open to student visa holders.
- Full-time position working 5 daytime shifts a week Monday to Friday 7am-3pm set shifts.
- You will be responsible making the doughs, operating the pie making machinery. This will be very a repetetive role and will not involve decorating, icing or piping.
- Maintaining high standards of the products that leave the kitchen.
- A team player, capable of communicating, giving and receiving feedback is essential.
- We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and who is open to embracing changes as our fast paced business grows.
- There will be cleaning of your work station and team clean up of pastry area at the end of each shift.
