As a Patent Attorney with us, you'll play a pivotal role in leveraging intellectual property principles within our ever-evolving business environment. You'll be an integral part of our small yet dynamic IP team, collaborating with various departments to fortify our IP portfolio and maintain our competitive edge. Key responsibilities are:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to strategize and execute plans for the continuous development and enhancement of our IP portfolio.
- Maintain and improve IP systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on IP matters, fostering a culture of IP awareness and best practices.
To be successful
To thrive in this role, you are a trans-Tasman Patent Attorney domiciled in Australia with a passion for innovation and a background in mechanical, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field. We are looking for individuals with:
- 2-3 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, with a solid understanding of Australian patent law and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong ability to collaborate, with a proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational abilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
