About Your Next Opportunity
We now have an opportunity for part-time Pathology Specimen Collectors to join our Pathology Collection team in one of our Darwin locations.
You will work shifts between 7:00 am and 6:30 pm from Monday to Friday. When you join us part-time, you will work a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight.
Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GPs, and Medical Centre staff.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be to:
Treat our patients with care and compassion;
Receive urine and faeces samples;
Record patient information;
Complete online training via our eLearning training system; and
Liaise with referrers and ancillary services in other health settings.
Though this is not a courier driver position, at times you may be required to drive to pick up specimens and bring them to the collection centre.
About You
If you love helping others and have a background in customer service, retail, front-end reception, or any customer-facing position, this is the role for you!
You will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during your first twelve months of working with us. Once you’ve completed your training, you will receive an SNP training certificate. Please note, you will need a valid driver's license for this role.

Displays efficient time management and problem-solving skills
Moreover, you will have a commitment to service excellence with good interpersonal and liaison skills.
A First Aid Certificate is also a requirement of the role.
Although not essential, previous experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors with a natural knack for caring for others will also be regarded highly.
