Job description


We are establishing an appointment pool for vacancies that arise within the next 12 months. We may offer permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.

About the College
North Metropolitan TAFE is the established State Government provider of vocational education and training for the northern Perth region. Our mission is to nurture participation, productivity and aspirations for our learners, our industry and our community.

About the role
The Pathway Advisor assists clients with their settlement needs and learning pathways and provides ongoing assistance throughout the clients’ enrolment with the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP). This may include conducting entry, exit and SLPET interviews; providing ongoing pathway advice to AMEP clients and liaising with Jobs and Skills Centres, TAFE Admissions and other NMT portfolios to ensure relevant pathway opportunities are available to clients.

Other Conditions and Eligibility
During the life of the pool, candidates found suitable through this process may be offered appointment to similar & subsequent vacancies within the College, within other TAFE Colleges or across WA Government (subject to candidate permission being granted).

Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.

To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
