Be part of an established, independent, pathologist-owned and managed pathology laboratory in Kew East. The Accounts Team is responsible for the efficient and effective billing and collection of patient pathology claims and accounts.

Permanent, Full-Time Position, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):

• Timely and accurate processing of patient accounts, including Medicare/DVA and Private Health Fund claims
• Problem-solving patient account queries, Medicare exceptions, and Private Health Fund rejections
• Liaising with Medicare/DVA/WorkCover and Private Health Funds
• Liaising with hospitals, clinic staff, and referrers
• Banking and Debtor management
• Provide support to the administration team

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrated billing experience in a similar role
• Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Demonstrated experience working autonomously and in process improvement
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Highly developed organizational and time management skills
