About the role

Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a full time Pipelaying Ganger to carry out a variety of tasks as required within Council's Water & Waste section in order to satisfy the requirements of the relevant Australian plumbing codes and other required standards.

Key Requirements

  • Sound knowledge and experience in the handling and finishing of concrete.
  • Sound experience and knowledge in the supervision, coordination, and control of staff.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the laying of water and sewer pipes.
  • Sound knowledge in the metric system of measurement.
  • Experience in the utilisation of small plant used in the construction industry.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Undergo immunisation for Hepatitis A and B and have follow up tests to confirm immunity.
  • Ability to work on-call.
  • Hold a General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Possess a current Class C NSW Drivers' Licence

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.

Salary: $1,116.30 to $1,172.78 per week + super + Level 1 Adverse Working Allowance of $18.28 per week.

Position Status: Permanent Full-time

Hours of work: 38 hours per week with an RDO every third week
