About the Role:
Join our team as a Patient Services Assistant Monash Children’s’ Hospital.
- Monday - Friday permanent part time role, 55 hours per fortnight.
Oasis is a child mental health unit and the successful candidate must be prepared to work in this environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for providing the afternoon tea and the dinner service to patients and parent/ carer
- Daily and Discharge Cleaning
- General Cleaning within the unit
- Waste segregation and removal.
- Bed making.
- Ward tasks and errands
- Patient errands.
About Us:
Our Support Services team provides a range of essential non-clinical services that help our hospitals operate. We provide food services, central production kitchen, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Holds a strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
Mandatory requirements of the role - qualifications, licences, memberships:
- Certificate 3 in Patient Services.
- Food Handling Certificate (SITXFSA001) – Essential
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
