We are currently seeking an experience and solutions focused Payroll / Administrator to join the team. Based in Glenorchy and reporting to the HR Manager you will be responsible for processing the weekly and fortnightly payrolls of approximately 80 employees whilst supporting the HR Manager in employee lifecycle activities including recruitment and selection.
About the role:
- Process the weekly and fortnightly payrolls within the required timeframe.
- Ensure the ATO and superannuation payments are paid within the required time frame.
- Prepare regular payroll reports ensuring accurate statistical data
- Streamline and document payroll processes
- Provide accurate record keeping including document management and archiving
- Create and maintain staff personnel files
- Manage PPE for both new starters and existing employees
- Manage IHGroup training needs through the HR calendar including reports and funding
- Prepare regular HR reports ensuring accurate statistical data
- Assist with general employee lifecycle activities including recruitment and selection
- Timely and efficient processing of purchase orders
About you:
- Certificate IV in Human Resources / Business Administration or similar (desirable)
- High level computer skills, including Microsoft suite and internal databases
- Experience in Greentree and / or MYOB desirable
- Strong understanding of payroll principles
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proven attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Strong relationship builder with influencing skills
- Natural curiosity to discover reasons for performance
- Drive for continuous improvement with a positive approach to change
- Trustworthy and can maintain confidentiality
