About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Payroll Coordinator to oversee the strategic management and delivery of payroll services for the Tasmanian Catholic Education Office (TCEO) and its associated schools.  In this role, you will lead the Centralised Payroll team to ensure accuracy, compliance with payroll legislation, and adherence to organisational policies.

Reporting to the HRP Business Systems Manager, you will work closely with key stakeholders to shape and enhance payroll service delivery in line with our strategic objectives.

About You

As the Payroll Coordinator, you will:

• Have a tertiary qualification in commerce, business management or accounting and/or extensive relevant experience.
• Ensure the effective delivery of accurate, timely and client focused payroll services.
• Execute and manage end-to-end payroll processing activities including taxation, superannuation, salary packaging, etc. in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Lead, supervise and mentor the Centralised Payroll team members, including the management of payroll workload to meet operational requirements.
• Prepare reports pertaining to specific requests from key stakeholders regarding employee information, payroll data and payroll calculations.
• Establish productive and respectful relationships within the TCEO and with school/college Principals and administrators.
