An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our HR team. Reporting to our HR Manager, this is a standalone Payroll Manager role which forms part of our team.
The purpose of this key role is to work as part of a small specialist team in delivering accurate, timely, and client-focused payroll services while driving innovation and compliance.
A key aspect will be to support the implementation of our new payroll system, transiting to ADP managed service and ADP real time while maintaining the current processing of weekly and monthly payrolls.
Responsibilities:
- Support payroll project implementation for payroll system transition.
- Processing of weekly and monthly payroll on an end to end basis to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time each pay period.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll-related information / requirements for payroll including setting up employees in payroll and time and attendance systems, processing changes , transferring data into payroll system etc.
- Process all leave requests and prepare termination calculations according to relevant awards, EBAs, employment contracts and Company policies.
- Facilitate the delivery of areas of payroll including Superannuation, Payroll Tax, PAYG and Workers Compensation and contribute to the year-end reconciliationof
- Investigate and action requests and queries within agreed timelines and quality levels.
- Identify and implement areas of opportunity for process, quality and experience improvement, maintaining strong governance focus.

To be considered for the position, candidates will possess:
- Previous extensive experience in a standalone Payroll Manager role
- Experience implementations of new payroll systems and trantion transitions.
- Extensive experience in processing complex payrolls in a fast-paced and multi-site industrialised environment.
- Experience in award and enterprise agreement interpretation and application
- Experience with payroll systems and time and attendance (Navision, MitreFinch & ADP productions desirable).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Well-developed attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
