Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the Focus ACT Team for a 6 month fixed term contract. As Payroll Officer you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of all payroll transactions for our organization. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations. You will collaborate closely with the broader Finance and HR teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
With responsibility for delivering a complex payroll structure including 24/7 rostering, FBT and administering compliance , you will be required to:
- Deliver end to end management of a fortnightly payroll for all employees
- Liaise with team managers on employee timesheets and vehicle mileage claims
- Liaise with the Accounts Payable Officer for staff reimbursements processing
- Ensure timely updates of all pay processes including new pay rates and pay points for employees
- Disburse all superannuation and salary sacrifice payments in line with FBT and legislative requirements
- Support with payroll related reporting (eg Long Service and Leave liabilities, Superannuation)
- Manage all staff payroll related enquiries
- Support the Finance team as required
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 3 years' experience with end to end payroll processing
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Your ability to be adopt a continuous improvement lens combined with your adaptability will be key to your success in this role.
- MYOB Payroll (desirable)
The recruitment process for this role will commence immediately so you are encouraged to apply with immediate effect. The salary range is $70 000 - $85 000 (pro rata) and will be considered based on experience.
As part of this role, you will need to successfully obtain a Working With Vulnerable People check and a National Police Check. Experience with Not For Profit organisations or familiarity with the NDIS will be highly regarded.
