The OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity for an experience Payroll Officer looking to join our client’s Corporate Services Team on a permanent, part-time basis.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer and working 25 hours per-week, you will have a key responsibility of processing payroll and accounts payable and provide backup for accounts receivable during leave periods.
The RoleAs the Payroll Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Payroll Processing: Calculate wages, deductions, and benefits using MYOB. Collect timesheet data and generate accurate payroll reports
- MYOB for Accounts Payable: Use MYOB software to manage accounts payable, enter vendor invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate records
- Compliance and Reporting: Follow tax regulations and company policies during payroll and accounts payable processing. Prepare reports for management and assist with audits if needed
- Support: Assist Accounts Receivable Officer with daily tasks, including processing incoming payments, issuing invoices, and managing customer accounts in MYOB
The ideal person for this role will have:
- Accounting Qualifications and Experience: At least four years’ experience in payroll and Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable roles or relevant accounting qualifications
- MYOB Proficiency: Skilled in all aspects of MYOB, including payroll and superannuation
- Intermediate Office Software Skills: Proficient in using spreadsheets, word processing, and databases
- Financial Processing Experience: Experienced in processing accounts payable and receivable, including online banking
- Payroll Processing and Recording: Skilled in processing payroll and recording associated journals in finance software
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for collaboration and problem-solving
- $70k – $80k (Pro-Rated) + 11% Super
- Permanent, part-time opportunity, 25 hours per week
