ABOUT US
AWCON is a leading Australian Civil Construction business in the mining and heavy industries sector. With long-term tier one contracts, we are actively searching for a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team in our brand-new office in Orange, New South Wales.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this position, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for managing the entire payroll process. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate salary and wage records, ensuring timely payment to all AWCON employees. Specifically, your duties will include.
- End to end processing of company payrolls.
- Processing time sheets.
- Payroll reporting (entitlements, summaries etc.).
- Interpretation of EBA's & Awards in line with current legislation as required.
- Handle payroll queries (both over the phone & via email).
- MYOB administration, creating new employees etc.
- Assisting with superannuation & payroll tax.
- Assisting with payroll audit requirements.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you must possess the following.
- A great attitude and exceptional attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively when required.
- Experience with MYOB and MS office programs such as excel, and word is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in payroll is highly desirable.
