The Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for the preparation and the accurate and timely processing of salaries and wages, and the accurate maintenance of payroll and associated employee master data.
About the role
- Joint responsibility for payroll processing of approximately 2,000 employees
- Work with sites based across all states of Australia and New Zealand to ensure accurate entry and confirmation of Rostering and Time and Attendance data
- Provide accurate and timely processing for all payroll transactions including sound and timely advice, guidance and support to staff
- Undertake the input and analysis of data, including ensuring accuracy of employee entitlements ensuring adherence to award, EA and legislative compliance
- Deliver a range of effective payroll processing tasks including managing processes, providing services, responding to queries, advising on process and producing reports in accordance with agreed standards and timeframes

- Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, employees and other stakeholders to support and facilitate a high level of payroll services
- 4+ years' experience in a payroll position
- Knowledge of Awards and Enterprise Agreements desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of Pay Global, Chris 21 or SAP
