- Provide an efficient and accurate service in relation to the processing of payroll, establishment and human resource related information in the Department’s Human Resource Information System. In collaboration with other team members, reconcile the Department’s payroll, including running interfaces to other systems and completion of associated documentation.
- In the context of relevant legislation, policies and procedures, provide interpretative solution focused advice and assistance to managers and employees on complex operation payroll and employee entitlement related issues.
- Assist with effectively managing the processing of workers compensation claims, including claims management and return to work programs.
- Assist with recruitment related activities ensuring timely action to meet client and organisational needs.
- Assist with the development, review, implementation, communication and promotion of human resources policies, practices and procedures and undertake designated projects and tasks.
- Conduct research and analysis, either individually or in conjunction with more senior staff, on a range of human resource operational issues and assist and provide advice and solutions to support managers and employees on a range of human resource issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource information systems functionality and processes with a focus on continual improvement to meet business needs.
