Join our team on the People Home program as a PeopleSoft Advisor and play a key role to make a genuine impression on the daily lives of our employees and leaders. The People Home program will transform the people technology experience for employees and leaders of Suncorp, delivered through agile ways of working.
The PeopleSoft HCM Functional Consultant within the People Home program is a crucial position, dedicated to harmonizing transitions between our existing PeopleSoft platform and the envisioned People Home platforms. This role involves designing and implementing Core HR, Payroll, and Time & Labour solutions, ensuring alignment with program objectives while safeguarding the seamless operation of payroll and time functions, minimizing risk. The ideal candidate possesses significant experience in implementing PeopleSoft HCM solutions within intricate environments.
What you'll do
- Provide PeopleSoft functional HCM expertise throughout the project implementation lifecycle, acting as a subject matter expert
- Participate in discovery workshops to identify PeopleSoft impacts in Core HR, Payroll, and Time & Labour
- Analyse business requirements and map them to PeopleSoft HCM functionality, designing fit-for-purpose solutions, including fit-gap analysis
- Act as a key conduit between business stakeholders/SMEs and PeopleSoft technical specialists, offering expertise and advice on options/risks to support decision-making
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to design payroll and time-related changes, including analysing impacts on current state processing and covering aspects like integrations, security, and functionality
- Participate in all testing phases, collaborate with development teams on test coverage, review test documents, support change management activities, and provide post-go-live hypercare and transition to BAU support
What you'll bring
- Desired Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or business
- 5+ years of demonstrated functional experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM for Australia, encompassing Global Payroll, Absence Management, Core HR, and Time & Labour
- Proven experience in identifying change impacts to PeopleSoft platforms and designing effective solutions, including specifying and presenting change impacts/requirements clearly
- Ability to work across all project phases in an 'Agile' environment, including Discovery/Requirements, Design, Fit/Gap, Build, Test, Parallel Run, Deployment, and Hypercare
- Solid understanding of Australian Payroll requirements, including functionality such as STP2
- Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes, technologies, and best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Given the dynamic nature of this role, the successful applicant would be expected to adjust pace and approach depending on the phase of the program, or the current priority, therefore being a functional consultant who has performed various roles across the project delivery lifecycle would be advantageous
