We are searching for motivated fitters, with a strong work ethic, to join our Westhill team across multiple sites in the Mackay and Bowen Basin area with equal time roster positions and some sites offering FIFO ex Brisbane
Description:
Westhill Services is currently seeking motivated and skilled fitters to join our team at multiple sites in the Bowen Basin. As a fitter with Westhill, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Caterpillar Equipment, both Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) and Ancillary. The role requires completing tasks efficiently within designated timeframes, with a strong emphasis on diagnostic, fault-finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance skills. Safety is paramount in our operations, and you will be expected to carry out required safety duties such as job inspections, JSA’s, and SLAM’s, while also communicating any safety or maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Relevant Trade Qualification (Cert 3)
- Experience in a mining environment
- Demonstrated experience with CAT Equipment (793, 797, D10, D11)
- Coal Board Medical
- Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude towards safety
- Ability to meet site requirements
