As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.
About the Role
We are currently seeking applications for a Fugal Operator based at Kalamia Mill located in Ayr, in the Burdekin Region. This is a Permanent Position in our sugar processing factory which requires shift work during the crushing season on a rotating roster including weekends, overtime, and day work during the maintenance period.
The Fugal Operator is responsible for producing sugar to the required standards, this includes separating sugar from molasses with minimal losses of sugar and maintaining sugar quality standards. Monitor syrup/magma/massecuite/molasses stocks and communicate with interacting stations and your supervisor. Dryer operation, remelt systems and final molasses cooling stations also form part of the Fugal Operator functions to ensure final product and by-products meet market defined quality parameters.
