About the role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will operate on site and off site (remote) and maintain our coal and tailings processing operations. Somerset has numerous operations in the Bowen Basin which are currently maintained from our main base in Mackay. This role works alongside our current maintenance and process team with a primary focus on efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
- Onsite and off-site operation and monitoring of multiple operations.
- Inspect and assist maintaining these operations.
- Responding to faults either remotely or on site.
- Assist in the testing, sampling, analysis, design, commissioning and optimisation of projects and operations.
- Ensure that projects and operations satisfy customer needs and expectations in all respects.
Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this role you will have the following:
- Coal handling and preparation experience
- Either:
- Experienced plant operation or supervision; or
- Electrical Trade qualification with industry experience
- Experience with centrifuge technology and related technologies (conveyors, pumps, electrical systems, etc.)
