About the role: 

In this pivotal role, your daily responsibilities will encompass a diverse array of general administrative tasks tailored to the specific needs of the position you're filling. These tasks may range from promptly answering incoming calls and managing email correspondence to efficiently scheduling patient appointments and ensuring smooth patient arrivals and departures. Your role will also involve providing invaluable assistance to patients and their families, offering support and guidance as needed. Additionally, you'll undertake clinical typing duties and offer essential support to the medical team, including nurses and doctors, ensuring seamless operations and excellent patient care.

Where you'll be working:

  • You will be relieving in a number of areas around the hospital and area’s off site (within Newcastle) including Wards, Outpatient Services and Clinical Service Units. 
  • This is an opportunity to work for the largest local health district in NSW which services a population of more than 900,000 across the Hunter, New England and Lower Mid North Coast areas.

  • You are organised with great time management and strong prioritisation skills.
  • You are flexible and can easily adapt to an everchanging environment.
