Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in permits and administration? We have an exciting opportunity for a Permits Officer to join the team at the City of Hobart as a temp. This role involves assisting the permit team with plumbing and building applications, as well as post-permit processes.
Your new role
Handle phone calls, direct enquiries to relevant officers, and draft/send correspondence.
Monitor the plumbing and building inbox, allocate documentation to relevant officers, and record incoming correspondence.
Draft permits and certificates of completion.
Assist with processing start-of-works, registering occupancy permits, extensions of time, and certificates of final inspections.
You will receive an attractive casual hourly rate and work during standard business hours, Monday to Friday, completing a 38-hour standard week.You will get the opportunity to work semi-autonomously in a small team.
