Job Description: We are currently seeking empathetic and reliable individuals to join our team as Aged/Disabled Carers/Personal Assistants. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients by providing compassionate and personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and support during walking or moving around.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication management.
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in health condition, and report any concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Offer emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to clients.
- Perform housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and social outings as needed.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring their rights are respected and representing their interests when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.
- Certification in First Aid ,working with children check and CPR highly desirable.
- Certificate III in individual support or in disability is highly desirable.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanour with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in responding to changing needs and situations.
- Reliable transportation and a valid NT driver's license preferred.
- Must pass background checks and drug screening.
