Personal Care Assistant - Aged Care Emergency Response Support

Aspen Aged Healthcare, a business unit of the Aspen Medical Group, is seeking experienced and skilled Personal Care Assistants, Australia wide to join our existing team of clinical and non-clinical professionals. The roles are critical to support RACHs at short notice. This is a unique opportunity to work in a rapid response team environment and to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable Australians. With your help, we can ensure that Senior Australians continue to receive quality care.

This is a fixed term opportunity until June 30 2025 - meaning you'll be paid even during down time!! Flights, accommodation and per diems will also be covered.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• providing high quality Personal Care and support with activities of daily living in a safe, compassionate and person-centered approach to the residents of Aged Care homes
• support reliable, skilled rapid response capability to respond to emergency and outbreak situations.
• deliver high quality, safe, and compassionate care to residents during outbreaks/emergencies, and any disruption is minimized were reasonably practicable.
• infection control is effectively managed and further spread of communicable diseases is minimized.
• contribute to a positive and cohesive team environment where all staff feel supported to perform their duties to a high clinical standard.
• reporting of incidents that may occur at the facility which may impact resident care
• ensuring compliance with the national standards and Aspen Medical Governance Framework.

Experience, Qualifications and Documentation Required:

• full Australian work rights (We are unable to provide sponsorship)
• certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), or Certificate IV in Ageing Support (or equivalent) qualifications
• a minimum of 12 months experience as a Personal Care Assistant
• current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training
• two recent clinical referees
• clear police check and working with vulnerable people check or working with children check
• recent working experience in Aged Care.
