About The Position
Join our vibrant team as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) and embrace an exciting opportunity at Murray Gardens Retirement Village, nestled in Albury, NSW. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping RetireAustralia's journey toward industry leadership, prioritising the well-being of our residents above all else. As a PCA, you'll be the cornerstone of compassionate care, upholding privacy, respect, and dignity as you tend to our residents' needs. This is a permanent part-time or casual position, with shifts including AM, PM, and sleepovers. We are seeking a motivated person to make a positive impact and become part of our close-knit team, as well as embrace the chance to be a source of comfort and joy for our residents.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting and supporting residents in their daily activities, including tasks like continence management, showering, dressing, and personal grooming
- Ensuring residents receive their prescribed medications promptly and accurately
- Collaborating in the preparation, service, and delivery of daily meals and special functions for our cherished residents
- Managing laundry tasks for residents as required, maintaining their comfort and hygiene
Essential CriteriaAs part of the application process, you will be required to provide a National Police Check, proof of right to work in Australia, verification of identification and qualifications, and participate in pre-employment assessment.
- Demonstrated experience in the role and industry
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support (advantageous)
- Drivers Licence and Reliable Transport
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- COVID-19 vaccinations (or ability to obtain)
- Prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
