About the Opportunity

The Public Trustee assists some of the most vulnerable members of our community to live their best life possible. We are seeking an experienced customer relationship professional or senior financial administrator to join our team of customer service professionals. The role provides the opportunity for you to contribute to strategic business operations and provide high quality financial administration, estate management, investment and legal services to our customers.

You will act as a mentor to other team members, supporting their development, and play an important role in driving the positive culture of the branch. This role will enable you to showcase your outstanding relationship management, finance, and case management skills within a dynamic team that takes pride in the service they provide to the community. About You

You will be a passionate and highly motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and be an experienced customer relationship professional or financial administrator. You enjoy working independently while managing a caseload, while also contributing to organisational growth and development as a member of a professional team. You will enjoy the opportunity to contribute to business improvement by identifying operational efficiencies, and are keen to share knowledge and experience in the mentoring and development of your team members.

About the Business

The Office of the Public Trustee (Public Trustee) is a business unit of the Attorney-General’s Department. The Public Trustee was established in 1881 and is constituted under the provisions of the Public Trustee Act 1995.

The Public Trustee plays an important role in managing the personal, legal and financial affairs of those people in the community who lack the capacity to manage their own affairs. The Public Trustee also provides eligible South Australians with access to Will making services, powers of attorney preparation and deceased estate and trust administration.

The Public Trustee is located in a prime CBD location, with offices looking out over Victoria Square. With convenient access to public transport and close proximity to the central market, working at the Public Trustee provides an enjoyable work location which supports an active and balanced lifestyle.

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested.
