Project Health and Fitness is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Personal Trainer to join our dynamic team. As a Personal Trainer, you will play a vital role in providing personalised fitness programs, guidance, and motivation to our valued clients, empowering them to reach their full potential and lead healthier lives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting Fitness Assessments: Perform thorough fitness assessments for clients, including body composition analysis, strength evaluation, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and overall health screening. Use this information to design tailored fitness programs based on individual goals and needs.

  4. Personalised Training Programs: Create customized workout plans and nutrition recommendations for clients, considering their fitness levels, preferences, and specific objectives. Continuously monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal results.
  5. Personal Training Sessions: Conduct one-on-one personal training sessions with clients, providing hands-on coaching, feedback, and motivation during workouts. Utilize various training techniques and equipment to keep sessions engaging and effective.
  6. Group Fitness Classes: Lead group fitness classes, fostering a positive and supportive environment for participants while ensuring proper form and safety throughout the sessions.
  7. Goal Setting and Tracking: Collaborate with clients to set realistic and achievable fitness goals, and regularly track their progress. Celebrate milestones and offer guidance during plateaus to keep clients motivated and committed.
  8. Educating on Fitness and Health: Educate clients on the principles of fitness, nutrition, and overall health to enhance their understanding and adherence to healthy habits outside of training sessions.
  9. Safety and Injury Prevention: Ensure a safe training environment by demonstrating proper exercise techniques, monitoring clients' movements, and providing modifications when necessary to prevent injuries.
  10. Client Engagement and Retention: Build strong relationships with clients, actively listening to their concerns, and providing exceptional customer service. Retain clients through ongoing support, communication, and a personalized approach to their fitness journey.
  11. Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends, research, and certifications to continually improve and enhance your expertise as a Personal Trainer.

We have recently opened a brand new facility in the Hawthorne area which will not only provide our staff with the best equipment but also attract new clients to the business. We have very stable client base with most clients having been training at Project Health for up to 10 years. The right candidate will have a client base ready to go upon start date. We are looking for a trainer to start with 20 hrs with the ability to increase these hours over the first few months. Pay rate $35per hour.

Requirements:

  1. Certified Personal Trainer: Cert 3 in fitness and cert 4 in personal training 
  2. Previous Experience: Preferably have a minimum of 2 years of experience in personal training or fitness coaching.
  3. Passion for Health and Fitness: Demonstrate a genuine passion for fitness and a commitment to helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
  4. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effectively connecting with clients and providing clear instructions.
  5. Motivational Approach: Exhibit an inspiring and motivational coaching style to encourage clients to push their limits and achieve their full potential.
  6. Adaptable and Flexible: Be adaptable to various client needs and able to create individualised plans to accommodate different fitness levels and objectives.
  7. Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and adhere to ethical standards in client interactions.
