Our Personal trainers play a crucial part in delivering mental health care. As our health partner and a member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, we respect and value your expertise. We collaborate with you to deliver mental health programs of the highest standard, never been seen before.
Our exercise program forms part of an inpatient or day patient admission, and is designed to:
- educate patients on the relationship between exercise and mental health
- increase patients’ mind-body connection
- teach patients the importance of movement and how to move
- help patients identify and overcome their barriers to exercise
- encourage patients to develop an exercise routine
- develop an exercise plan for discharge
On any given day, as a Personal trainer at Avive Clinic Mornington Peninsula you will be responsible for:
- individual assessments on an as needs basis, also dependent on the volume of patient admissions
- facilitating 2 to 3 group training sessions daily, each session 60 minutes’ duration
- writing programs specific to the individual needs of each patient
- maintaining case notes
