About the Position

Position Synopsis
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Day shift: 6 am – 2 pm
Preparation of coal samples for petrographic analyses in accordance with Australian Standards
- Execution of routine coal petrographic analysis and microscopy in general
- Ensuring shifting deadlines are met and customer satisfaction is maintained
- Maintain knowledge of all relevant procedures and methods
- Have a working knowledge of the Local Safety Rules and site Safety Rules and ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with those rules
- Degree in Science or equivalent
- Microscope experience would be considered an advantage
- Having prior experience in coal or coal petrology is desirable
- A positive work attitude & demeanour
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities
- A strong customer & quality focus
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Competent in Microsoft Suite
- Full time availability required
