Overview Mount Osmond Golf Club is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking PGA Professional to help us drive the business and game of golf at our club. This role will be a fully supportive role of all things golf but will require a keen passion for coaching and developing of players.

Founded in 1927, Mount Osmond Golf Club is the premier golf facility in Adelaide’s Eastern suburbs. The course has spectacular panoramic views of the city and the Mt Lofty Ranges along with an iconic heritage listed clubhouse. The club is seeking a PGA Professional to develop and expand our coaching offering to members and the golfers living in both the Eastern suburbs and Adelaide Hills. The club has a strong membership base of 1,300 members and a strong culture of offering quality coaching. The unique location opens an opportunity for the right person to strengthen our coaching business.

The successful applicant for this position must be a PGA of Australia Member, ideally with a Certified status under the PGA’s ACE Program. As well as preferably also being advanced in Coaching and Game Development as an indicator of engagement in ongoing training and growth. Reporting to the Golf Operations Manager, the successful applicant will have a passion for the game of golf, be an excellent communicator, and have the drive to deliver exceptional service standards.

• The applicant must have a passion for coaching the game and be well presented, honest and reliable, organised, self-motivated with a good work ethic and possess a willingness to learn. Key responsibilities of this role include:
• To provide outstanding service to members, guests, and visitors.
• Have strong knowledge of all aspects of Golf Operations including competition golf management, administration, and rules of golf
• To deliver specialist golf coaching services to the members, guests, and visitors.
• To plan and develop lesson programmes for individuals, groups, and squads.
• To perform a supporting role for other golf coaches
• To provide club fitting services for members, guests, and visitors.
• To administrate and assist with trade days and oversee the entire golf experience.
• To assist with shop hours and managing of the day-to-day operation
• To act as a mentor professional to PGA Apprentices
• To attend Match and Grounds Meetings and add valuable input to the meeting.

• Have a working knowledge of golf and club operating systems – experience with MiClub and Golf Genius as an advantage.
• Hold a current Working with Children Check
• Have a positive attitude and the ability to work as a team player.

Mount Osmond Golf Club, have access to all practise facilities, course (when available) to perform on-course lessons, range balls, and marketing resources through the club’s website/social media and notice board areas. Mount Osmond Golf Club has the following practice facilities:

• Driving range with grass and synthetic grass tees
• Practice bunker
• Chipping green
• Putting green
• Undercover teaching shelter. Lesson and bonus commissions will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Shop hours are required and will be renumerated as per the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020. Commencement is available immediately for the successful applicant.
