Pharmaceutical Production Operator - Compounder

Activ Pharmaceuticals, based in Smeaton Grange, manufactures liquid and cream products in cosmetic and therapeutic grades and is a part of the Activ Pharmaceuticals Group.

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed Compounder to work in our production team.

The position involves:

• The manufacture of pharmaceutical liquids and creams
• Dispensing and weighing materials for pharmaceutical formulations 
• Following formula instructions so as to control the manufacturing equipment and process
• Sample and test physical parameters of the product being made
• Complete production documentation
• Clean and maintain a safe and hazard free production area and associated equipment

Desirable Criteria

• Some knowledge of blending and processing liquids and creams
• Some experience operating machinery, mixers, homogenisers and pumps
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices

Essential Criteria

• The ability to work as part of a fast paced team
• Reliability and a desire to learn
• Physically fit and capable of lifting 20Kg +

In return, Activ Pharmaceuticals will provide:

• 38 hour full time contract Mon-Fri
• 2pm finish on a Friday
• On-site parking
• Training Support
