About the Role:
An exciting and unique opportunity presents itself for a dedicated Pharmacist to join our wonderful team of HPS Pharmacies to joining our DASSA site.
DASSA is a state wide health service that offers a range of prevention, treatment and education services for all South Australians, addressing alcohol, tobacco and illicit drug issues, with the intention of prevention and management of drug problems across South Australia.
An opportunity has become available for a pharmacist with experience in the provision of opioid substitution therapy services to take on a role at the North DASSA Clinic.
Whilst the clinic provides seven day dosing to it's clients, this 6 month Maximum Term contract role will require the successful Pharmacist to work Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00am-12:00pm. Flexibility in working additional hours at minimum notice will also be highly regarded.
Key responsibilities
- Dispense and supply medications in line with legal and professional requirements
- Prepare opioid substitution therapies for clinic clients in accordance with state protocols
- Clinical liaison with the relevant hospital wards, clinics and community pharmacies
- Implement processes to ensure consistency of operations between DASSA clinics
- Daily maintenance of pharmacy operations
- Any other duties as required or requested
You must have
- A can-do attitude and the ability to work autonomously
- Proven dispensary pharmacy experience, including the provision of opioid substitution therapy services
- Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of clinic staff as well as other community healthcare providers
- A high level of attention to detail and precision in record keeping
- The ability to organise complex tasks and solve problems
- Proven experience meeting key performance indicators, business objectives and operational processes
- Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Membership with a Professional Indemnity Insurance provider
- Current Covid-19 vaccinations as per SA Public Health Orders
