Philanthropy Officer
Melbourne Grammar School has an exciting opportunity for a Philanthropy Officer to join and work collaboratively with the Community Relations team and Senior Leadership within the School. The Philanthropy Officer will work directly with members of our community to develop meaningful relationships that result in philanthropic donations to Melbourne Grammar School.
This role has a focus on securing mid to major sized gifts in the range of $10k - $250K. The successful candidate will focus on securing first time donations to the School and converting annual appeal donors into major gift donors.
This position is flexible and is offered as a three-year contract at 1.0 (fulltime). It is based at our South Yarra campus.

The staff within the Community Relations Department facilitate the School’s interface with internal and external community members including prospective parents, alumni and donors. Encompassing Reception, the Development Office, Alumni, Admissions, Marketing & Communications, and Archives, the Community Relations Department is the community’s main entry point to the School.
You will
Under the guidance of the Head of Development, plan and deliver a range of giving programs – including mid-level giving, annual and regular giving, and bequests – that help build and strengthen participation and philanthropy within the MGS Community.
Personally, solicit gifts for giving programs from key constituents.
Manage a portfolio of potential major, and mid-level gift donors whilst identifying prospective donors.
Work with the Donor Relations Manager to integrate and deliver bespoke donor relations activities for current Melbourne Grammar School donors.
Maintain accurate records of donor activity in fundraising database.
Attend Development and Community Relations events, as required.
