The Role - Philanthropy Specialist
This newly created role will join a small, growing team and will collaborate with other philanthropy colleagues to identify, cultivate, and secure major gifts from existing and new donors.
As a Philanthropy Specialist you will have a dedicated focus on raising funds specifically for one of their partner health research institutes and a new facility that supports seriously ill young people.
With this clear direction, you will build strong stakeholder relationships with researchers, clinicians and healthcare professionals to identify their funding needs and then you will work proactively to tell these stories and inspire a variety of high value supporters to give generously to the Foundation.
Role Responsibilities & Your Experience

• Use your fundraising expertise and knowledge to review data and previous giving information to research potential prospects
• Use your exceptional communication skills to develop relationships over the phone and face to face
• An inspiring storyteller and great writer you will develop memorable fundraising impact reports, funding proposals, solicitation letters & cultivation collateral for major gift prospects and existing donors
• Coach and educate healthcare staff, clinicians, and researchers to promote the Foundation’s philanthropy programs and drive a philanthropic culture
• Be Tech & Data savvy, utilising the CRM system for accurate data management, prospect tracking and reporting

This role offers the chance to contribute to a foundation that has experienced substantial growth in recent years. You will be adaptable and self-driven and be a team player who inspires and lifts your teammates driving a collaborative culture from the front.
