Job description

We are currently seeking to appoint a full time Physical Performance Coach - Pathways and W/BBL to facilitate and implement Physical Performance programs across Cricket Victoria's High Performance Pathway programs and W/BBL teams.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Prescribe and implement physical programming for all aligned HP Pathway squads
  • Organise and implement fitness testing aligned with ACPP and CV testing protocols
  • Provide reports to the CV High Performance Staff on the current fitness status of individuals and all HP squads in general
  • Implement warm up & recovery protocols for all Victorian Pathway Teams participating in National Championship programs as well as W/BBL training days and matches
  • In partnership with the Athletic Performance Manager, create and evolve all AMS training programs relating to Pathway athletic development
  • Support individual and team training programs for players within the W/BBL
  • Liaise with all medical and SSSM staff and implement any rehabilitation/injury management requirements
  • Utilise available sports science resources to advance player and squad athletic development to enhance skill development and game readiness
  • Explore and evolve all HP Pathway regional squads physical program implementation utilising AMS system capabilities

About You

The successful candidate will have experience working in a sporting environment and have a passion for working with emerging athletes. They will be able to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with coaches, allied health professionals and other stakeholders to ensure our developing cricketers are physically prepared for competition.

To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Exercise Science
  • Minimum and currently active Level 1 Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) qualification
  • Level 1 ESSA Sports Scientist Accredited must be completed within 12 months of employment
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working within the sporting industry
  • Experience working with elite athletes and/or youth teams
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyse Physical Performance data
  • Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
