Our community consists of 17 independent domestic-style houses, with just 7 residents per house, and a fully functioning community precinct that includes a cinema, wellness spa and gym, music room, café and much more.

About the Role
We are looking for a permanent part-time or full-time Physiotherapist. The focus of the Physiotherapist is to work cooperatively within the Professional Services Team to provide customers with professional and clinical leadership in physiotherapy care and rehabilitation whilst maintaining individual health and wellness to support the Strategic direction of the organisation to deliver 'as normal a life as possible'.
Responsibilities
- the support and clinical care of customers through the provision of physiotherapy care and rehabilitation.
- must be able to assess, diagnose and treat conditions, diseases and disabilities with movement and exercise.
- must have knowledge of multi-disciplinary rehabilitation and be able to work in a clinical, pool and gym setting with minimal and maximal equipment.
- Providing treatments for customers (individually and group) with a wide range of acute and chronic disorders
- Implement evidence-based interventions to guide assessment, treatment, consultancy, referrals, programs and discharge of customers.
- Developing and implementing a holistic pain management and falls prevention program to meet the individual needs of customers, working in collaboration with the Occupational Therapist and Registered Nurses.
- Developing preventative strategies and programs for customers to help drive wellness and wellbeing.
- Utilising outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and to this, maintain accurate records for all customer interventions, including and not limited to assessment/s, treatment and evaluation.
- Engaging in best practice that enhances the dignity and integrity of the customers by respecting values, customs and spiritual beliefs and to promote the customers’ independence, personal choices and self-esteem.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- A passion for caring, patience and a focus on customer service
- Full registration as a Physiotherapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Sound computer knowledge
- Willingness to learn new approaches and ability to think 'outside the box'
- Solid clinical skills and knowledge to assess, diagnose and treat customers
- Aged care (desirable)
