Provide physiotherapy services within a Community Rehabilitation framework delivering a client centred, holistic model of restorative and adaptive therapy, which focuses on increasing functional capacity and optimising quality of life.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist (Community Rehabilitation Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Demonstrate increasingly independent Physiotherapy clinical skills in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards
- Conduct home visits to deliver physiotherapy clinical care
- Provide clinical advice to peers, professional and operational supervisors
- Participate in identification, development and implementation of clinical practices, procedures, protocols and service improvement activities
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Possession of a tertiary degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution
- AHPRA Registration
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to 3 months, with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $2 941.70 - $4 323.80 per fortnight

The Community Rehabilitation Program provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary, community based rehabilitation service to adult clients over the age of 18 years. The program delivers a goal-oriented, client-centred,
holistic model of restorative and adaptive therapy which focuses upon optimising functional capacity and quality of life. Clients of the service can be either transitioning from hospital to home or referred back from the community with identified rehabilitation needs.
