Provide professional leadership, clinical counsel and education to the Specialist Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) outpatient and Physiotherapy departments and deliver advanced vestibular physiotherapy clinical services within the integrated specialist ENT at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist - Advanced (Vestibular Ears, Nose and Throat) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide primary ‘first contact' specialist vestibular physiotherapy service for the independent assessment, diagnosis, and management of clients
- Develop and implement competency standards, and clinical procedures relevant to the speech pathology role within the integrated specialist ENT service
- Conduct and coordinate evaluation processes and research relating to the outcomes of the speech pathologist role within the integrated specialist ENT service
- Use high level expertise and clinical leadership in the development of clinical practices, competencies, procedures and protocols
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Physiotherapy
- Competency based professional development training in vestibular physiotherapy
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time or permanent part time (one full time position or several part time positions, hours negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $140 767 - $146 883 per annum
About
The Integrated Specialist Ears, Nose and Throat (ENT) Service is a multidisciplinary (MDT) outpatient ENT Service which provides high quality outpatient services to the community within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS). The ENT service currently consists of nine visiting ENT specialists, two training registrars, one principal house officer and two junior house officers. ENT services provided include generalist regional and specialist tertiary services to both adult and paediatric populations.
