The Role:
The Mildura Base Public Hospital Physiotherapy Department provides services across acute and sub-acute settings
Grade 1 - The Grade 1 Physiotherapist position will take part in a rotational roster across acute, sub-acute and outpatient services.
Grades 2 and 3 –
- To provide comprehensive physiotherapy services to patients within the designated caseload in inpatient services
- Grade 2 - provide support, supervision and direction to Grade 1 physiotherapists, students and allied health assistants as required
- Grade 3 - provide support, supervision and direction to Grade 1 and 2 physiotherapists, students and allied health assistants as required
- To contribute to the development of the physiotherapy service, as well as the general allied health department as appropriate

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA)
- Years of experience:
- Grade 1: 1-5 years of acute hospital experience of caseloads such as neurological, orthopaedic, respiratory and surgical conditions
- Grade 2: Minimum 5 years of acute hospital experience of caseloads such as neurological, orthopaedic, respiratory and surgical condition, ideally HCU/ICU experience also.
- Grade 3: 5-10 years of acute hospital experience, including HCU/ICU, of caseloads such as neurological, orthopaedic, respiratory and surgical condition.
- Demonstrated ability to be an independent adult learner, independently seeking external professional development and guiding clinical supervision to their needs
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience appropriate to relevant Grade:
- Grade 1 Physiotherapy includes competency to:
- assess, treat and plan discharge for patients with non-complex conditions
- establish therapeutic goals and appropriate interventions
- prescribe equipment and refer to other disciplines to enhance function and patient safety
- Grade 2 and 3 includes competency to:
- assess, treat and plan discharge for patients with complex conditions
- identify individual patients need for physiotherapy intervention
- establish therapeutic goals and appropriate interventions
- prescribe equipment and refer to other disciplines to enhance function and patient safety
Remuneration:
Grade 1 commencing at $71,292 p/a;
Grade 2 commencing at $86,730 p/a;
Grade 3 commencing at $100,089 p/a
