About the role

A unique and exciting opportunity exists to join Eastern Health's Elective Surgery Reform initiative and positively impact post-operative outcomes for high-risk patients undergoing surgery. This position will join a collaborative multidisciplinary team and will be well supported by the Physiotherapy Surgery and Aged & Complex Care clinical streams.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess: 

Essential:

• Recognised tertiary qualification in physiotherapy
• Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA 
• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Highly developed clinical reasoning skills based on significant clinical experience in the pre and/or post-operative environment

Desirable

• More than 7 years' relevant clinical experience within the physiotherapy position
• Completion of relevant post-graduate qualification, or working towards
• Clinical experience in both surgical and aged & complex care (e.g. general medicine) clinical areas will be highly regarded
