This is an exciting opportunity to join the Emergency Department (ED) and Physiotherapy Teams at Sydney Children's Hospital over the Winter bed period (May - August). The roles available are Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) commencing after 10am, for shifts of either 4 or 8 hours. Physiotherapists with knowledge and experience in orthopaedic skills are required.What you'll be doingThe physiotherapist will provide clinical services to inpatients and/or outpatients as determined by the particular role. The physiotherapist will provide evidence based care within a multidisciplinary and family centred context, and utilise holistic physiotherapy models of care. Participation is required in ongoing education, teaching, evidence based practice and quality improvement activities.The Level 4 Physiotherapist will contribute at an advanced level to:

• Planning, development and evaluation of physiotherapy services.
• Development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and practice guidelines for patient care.

Liaison with community based services relevant to the patient population

• Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration.
• Significant postgraduate experience and knowledge in the relevant clinical area
• Demonstrated advanced level of clinical skills in the relevant clinical are
• Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, (including negotiation and conflict resolution skills) and proven success in multidisciplinary team settings.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to work flexibly within clinical and administrative service demands.
• Experience in supervision of physiotherapy staff and students
• Demonstrated leadership skills in service delivery improvement activities and/or research
